Hear What Inspires Some of Our Council Members

“As someone whose family does not look “typical” as the mainstream (two moms, multiracial), it is important that all of our team members feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. We give our best when we are known. I want to make that possible for as many team members as possible within Premise.”

Tiffany Nelson AVP, Operations

“DEIB at Premise has been wonderful! It feels great to be a part of something meaningful that seeks to be inclusive so EVERYONE knows they belong, has a voice that’s heard, and a face that’s seen as valuable and necessary to make this organization the success it is!”

Keller Seay AVP, Revenue Cycle Management

“Being part of the DEIB council has afforded me the opportunity to advise on creating work environments where diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is a meaningful and conscious effort that permeates at every level of our corporate culture. This allows our teams to come together collaboratively to push the envelope with innovative approaches to solving healthcare’s unique challenges all while being their unique selves.”

Jean Milford Director of Client Operations

“Inclusion is a choice we make every day at Premise. We are stronger and better as individuals, teams, and as an organization when we can bring our whole selves to work and leaders at Premise we know this is a sacred responsibility to foster and nurture.”

Cara Siegel Human Resources Business Partner

Specifically, the Council works to:

    • Develop strategies to strengthen team member, client, and member support, retention, and best practice care.

    • Examine organizational and broader systemic influences with a robust definition of diversity including, but not limited to, race/ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religious belief or practice, physical or behavioral health status.

    • Review and make recommendations on policy and practice related issues including ways in which current policy and climate strengthens or detracts from our commitment to provide culturally humble, equitable, safe, inclusive work and care spaces for all team members, clients, and members.

    • Present recommendations to the CEO that include strategies, individuals responsible for specific actions, timelines for implementation, and measurable outcomes that reflect continuous improvement of organizational commitment to and implementation of DEIB best practices.
