As a Full-Time Leave Management Program Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting client employees across our two Health Centers in New York, NY, and New Jersey. This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with hours ranging between 8 a.m.–7 p.m., giving you consistency during the week without weekend work. Your weekly schedule will include two days at our NY site, two days at our NJ location, and one work-from-home day. This unique structure provides the best of both worlds—the stability of a set routine and the variety of working in different environments. You’ll enjoy building relationships across multiple locations while also benefiting from the flexibility of remote work one day each week.

What You'll Do

  • Serves as main client contact on strategic integration and expansion opportunities, proactively identify client needs related to healthcare trends.  
  • Strategically identifies and solves complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive approaches utilizing internal (corporate and regional) support.  
  • Owns client/site meetings, committees, and task forces to support strategic initiatives and goals.  
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage complex multiple lines of service and clients.  
  • Escalation point for clients.  
  • Consults with Medical, Legal or Compliance departments regarding regulations, practices act, practice law, certification requirements etc.  
  • May be asked to complete ad hoc projects.  
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, disability services or similar; knowledge of governing regulations and medical terminology.
  • Expert in leaves administration and client knowledge.
  • Subject matter expert on all Company leaves of absence programs, policies and procedures, including leave benefits and matters regarding eligibility, coverage and provisions
  • Administers and maintains the company’s leave of absence programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA, Personal, Military)
  • Develops and maintains process for ensuring compliance with all government regulations (federal, state & local), including but not limited to ADA and FMLA, and ensures that program objectives are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Responsible for staying current with all state & local leave programs and sick banks and ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and company policies
  • Partners with the cross-functional stakeholders on the development and delivery of training programs and job aids for team members. managers, and back-office support teams.
  • Optimizes partnership and collaboration with the company’s Third Party Administer to streamline processes and drive efficiency
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement leave reporting to identify trends and opportunities
  • Partners with functional partners in Employee Relations, HRBP’s, Benefits, Risk Management and Legal as needed for escalated cases or complex leaves

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, disability services or similar; knowledge of governing regulations and medical terminology.
  • Deep knowledge of leave of absence programs, as well as ability to stay current on evolving state, local and federal laws.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to work in several systems.
  • Detail orientated and able to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully and developing alternate solutions as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation, responding quickly and appropriately to customer needs, and managing difficult or emotional situations in a professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed environment to get work done and achieve results.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $144,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
