Medical Assistant
Requisition Number 35943 Job Location Memphis, TennesseeAs a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to St. Jude's employees in Premise Health's, Health Center located in Memphis, TN. The scheduled hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday 7:30a - 4:30p and Tuesday/Thursday 9a-6p.

What You’ll Do
- Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
- Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
- At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
