Advanced Care Technician

- Put your phlebotomy skills to work every day while assisting with rooming, labs, point-of-care testing, drug screens, pre-employment exams, and Epic documentation. Enjoy variety without the fast-paced demands of a high-volume clinic.
- Grow with a brand-new clinic location. Start at the temporary Leesburg site before transitioning to the new Clermont wellness center, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional care and building strong patient relationships.
What You'll Do
- Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Administers medication including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations, which may vary based on ordering/supervising provider type.
- Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
What You'll Bring
- National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted.
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
- Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
