Physical Therapist
Requisition Number 37739 Job Location Foster City, CaliforniaAs a Part Time Physical Therapist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Foster City, CA. The scheduled hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm.
What You'll Do
- Provide high quality, evidence-informed physical therapy for an organization that ranks in the top 15% of outpatient physical therapy providers in terms of patient outcomes
- Follow APTA standards, integrating research, clinical reasoning, and patient values in 1:1 treatment sessions with adequate time to comprehensively address members’ symptoms/impairments and complete documentation (60 minute evaluations and 45 minutes follow-up treatment sessions)
- Collaborate with Health Center staff and community providers to promote health and wellness for onsite employees and dependents
- Ensure continuity of care through excellent communication, participation in meetings, and thorough documentation and reporting
- Engage in continuing development through continuing education money for external courses and certifications, use of included virtual cont. education platform, and recurring internal department community calls, breakout presentations, virtual journal clubs
- Work with client stakeholders to enhance workplace safety and ergonomics
- Develop and lead injury prevention and health promotion programs, including ergonomic assessments, workshops, and specialized programs
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- All state licenses/certifications to practice
- Current board certificate (if applicable)
- Degree from accredited Physical/Occupational Therapy School
- CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer -the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate
- At least three years’ experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or other ambulatory care clinic.
