Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Dublin, VA.
The schedule is 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, 4:00p – 12:30a.

Essential Functions:
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
- Conducts fitness for duty and return to work physical exams as requested.
- Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Provides medically appropriate care to injured workers using evidence-based guidelines, expedites the return to meaningful work, and collaborates with the TPA and client to quarterback case management.
- Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
- Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
- Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
- Collaborates with Medical director and client stakeholders on Health Promotion programs, surveillance needs, ergonomics, process development, and other related safety/injury prevention opportunities.
- Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
- Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
- Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
- Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
- Maintains NP licenses/certificates to practice.
- Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) .
- Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) .
- State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
- Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
- Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required).
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Certification in occupational health (COHN/COHN-S/COHN-S/CM) preferred.
Experience:
- At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
- Experience working in an occupational health setting is preferred.
- Experience performing site visits and working with safety teams establishing ways to mitigate workplace hazards.
