The Vice President of Consultant and Broker Channel Relations will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive consultant & broker channel strategy, cultivating high-impact partnerships with influential brokers and consulting firms, and driving sustainable revenue growth through these relationships. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep industry expertise, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to build and scale high-performing teams. 

As Vice President, this individual will leverage their deep relationships across the healthcare benefits ecosystem to position our company as a preferred partner to leading consultants and brokers. You will define the channel strategy, build a high-performing team, and play a critical role in shaping how we go to market.  


This is a full time, remote Vice President of Consultant and Broker Channel Relations role.


What You'll Do


Channel Strategy & Leadership 

  • Define and lead the overall strategy for the Consultant & Broker Channel, aligned with company growth objectives  
  • Identify key market opportunities, trends, and competitive dynamics within the healthcare benefits consulting space  
  • Establish measurable goals, KPIs, and success metrics for channel performance  
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment and execution  

Partnership Development & Management 

  • Identify, prioritize, and build relationships with top-tier benefits consultants, brokers, and advisory firms  
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic partner relationships  
  • Develop structured engagement models to deepen partnerships and increase referral volume  
  • Negotiate & manage partnership agreements and drive mutually beneficial outcomes  

Revenue Growth & Pipeline Development 

  • Drive new business acquisition through consultant and broker relationships  
  • Collaborate with sales teams to convert partner-sourced opportunities into closed deals  
  • Monitor and optimize channel performance to maximize ROI
  • Work closely with Revenue Operations to leverage technology sales stack  

Team Building & Management 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of Directors responsible for regional or segment-based consultant relationships  
  • Establish best practices, playbooks, and training programs for the Consultant Channel team  
  • Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven culture  

Market Presence & Thought Leadership 

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings  
  • Position the organization as a preferred partner within the consultant ecosystem  
  • Provide insights to internal stakeholders on market trends and partner feedback  


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in either healthcare benefits, insurance, or related industries, or Sales.  
  • Experience leading and scaling high-performing teams at the Director level or above  
  • Experience working with national and regional benefits consulting firms preferred
  • Proven success building and managing consultant, broker, or channel partner ecosystems  
  • Strong existing network within the healthcare benefits consulting and brokerage community  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives  
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Background in both startup/high-growth and enterprise environments preferred
  • Familiarity with employer-sponsored benefits, health plans, or digital health solutions preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $190,000.00 - $242,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. 


For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
