The Senior Analytics Engineering Analyst transforms raw data into analytics-ready datasets, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable data models within the silver layer of the medallion architecture. This role leads the development of data models, enforces standards, and ensures data quality, documentation, and consistency across analytics assets. The position partners with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions and serves as a key contributor to analytics engineering best practices.

This is a Full Time, hybrid, Senior Analytics Engineering Analyst role located in Brentwood, TN.

What You'll Do

• Owns and leads data modeling efforts, designing and implementing scalable models following established team standards  
• Writes advanced SQL and develops dbt models, tests, and transformations  
• Contributes to and improves BI modeling and semantic layer development  
• Applies and promotes best programming practices, including clean, efficient, and well-documented code  
• Develops and maintains model documentation and READMEs with clear assumptions, caveats, and logic  
• Leads data quality checks, validation processes, and issue resolution  
• Maintains and improves data lineage, cataloging, and metadata standards  
• Partners with stakeholders to understand requirements and map metrics to business questions  
• Works independently and provides guidance to less experienced team members  
• Reviews work and provides feedback to ensure adherence to standards and best practices  
• Uses version control systems (Git) to manage code and support collaborative development  

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field required  
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data modeling  
• Experience designing and building data models and transformations using SQL and dbt  
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows  
• Healthcare data experience preferred  
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with dbt for data modeling  
• Strong understanding of BI modeling concepts and semantic layer design  
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)  
• Knowledge of data quality, validation, and data governance concepts  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data solutions
