The Salesforce Architect will serve as the technical leader responsible for the design, documentation, governance, and scalability of the Salesforce platform and its broader enterprise ecosystem.  This role focuses on providing architectural guidance and technical direction for the platform. The Architect will assess the current state, maintain the platform roadmap, and define cross-system integrations, ensuring the development team can focus on feature implementation rather than architectural decision-making. They will establish rigorous development and DevOps standards, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and confidently articulate complex technical architecture to leadership and stakeholders. This role will be responsible for overseeing both in-house and potential third-party development roles.

This is a Full Time, remote, Salesforce Architect role.

What You'll Do

Architectural Leadership

  • Define the long-term enterprise architecture framework, ensuring the Salesforce platform is scalable, resilient, and optimally aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish and enforce development standards, governance frameworks, and best practices (e.g., proper use of declarative vs. programmatic solutions, trigger frameworks, and design patterns).
  • Own the end-to-end technical solution design, conducting comprehensive architectural reviews and approving technical specifications before development begins.
  • Lead the evaluation, procurement, and architectural integration of third-party AppExchange packages and enterprise tools (e.g., Copado, Einstein, Shield, HubSpot, Own Backup, ServiceNow).
  • Architect enterprise-wide Salesforce solutions by evaluating cross-vertical business impacts and designing scalable, future-proof frameworks that accommodate long-term operational and data requirements across all business units.
  • Technical Lead Responsibilities will include some system design, you will actively write code, build complex configurations, and handle hands-on development tasks to support daily delivery where needed.

Data, Integration & Security Governance

  • Design robust enterprise integration architectures across systems, overseeing API management, middleware layer configurations, and real-time/batch data synchronization.
  • Own the platform’s security model, identity management, and compliance posture, maximizing the utilization of Salesforce Shield, single sign-on (SSO), and granular sharing mechanics.
  • Architect large data volume (LDV)solutions , including data archiving, data warehouse syncing (e.g., Databricks/Fivetran), indexing, and query optimization to avoid platform limits.

Team Leadership & Agile Governance

  • Mentor and coach senior developers, analysts, and administrators, fostering technical growth, promoting cohesive engineering habits, and driving a high-performing team culture.
  • Govern the DevOps pipeline and Release Management processes (utilizing Copado or similar), ensuring modern CI/CD branching practices, automated testing, and zero-downtime production deployments.
  • Drive the technical roadmap within the Agile framework, translating complex business priorities into technical epics, overseeing technical debt remediation, and grooming complex user stories.
  • Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and critical platform defects.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Required Certifications: Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or progressing toward the Certified Technical Architect (CTA) pathway.
  • Highly Preferred Certifications: Platform Developer II, Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture and Management Designer, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer.
  • 8+ years of deep technical experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, with a minimum of 2+ years explicitly acting in an architectural or technical lead capacity.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing complex enterprise-level integration patterns and handling multi-million record environments (Large Data Volumes).
  • Extensive background in advanced programmatic development (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC)), custom API implementations, and sophisticated asynchronous processing.
  • Experience designing environments with high security and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven hands-on delivery of Salesforce AI solutions such as Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, Data Cloud, Prompt Builder, and custom LLM integrations.
  • Expertise in system design, modeling complex relational data structures, and balancing declarative automation (Advanced Flow solutions) with programmatic custom frameworks.
  • Mastery of Salesforce limits, governor execution, and optimizing application performance.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; the ability to seamlessly translate highly technical architectural concepts into business value for C-suite and executive leaders.
  • Expert-level understanding of modern CI/CD practices, source control management (Git), and automated deployment environments.
  • Proactive mindset geared toward continuous improvement, platform optimization, and technical debt elimination.
