The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for enhancing various RCM functions related to payment posting and reconciliation, billing, and credit balances. Including but not limited to: trending and root cause analyses, running and interpreting reports, monitoring work queues, performing quality assurance reviews, conceptualizing and implementing workflows, and supporting business and administrative analytics within revenue cycle functional areas. The team member will manage accounts by utilizing practice management systems and billing applications, as well as working directly with the vendor.


This is a full time, remote Revenue Cycle Management Analyst role.


What You'll Do

•Provides direction for payment posting and reconciliation, billing, and credit balance related services through collaboration with: customers, associates, clinics, internal departments, vendors, etc.

•Analyzes and assesses Revenue Cycle reports, workflows, and processes

•Assesses the business use and functions of Revenue Cycle application systems providing recommendations for optimization as necessary

•Supports and assists teammates in assigned area(s) in identifying and troubleshooting Revenue Cycle related problems and provides recommendations for resolution

•Identifies and reports on Revenue Cycle trends affecting reimbursement

•Analyzes all forms of Revenue Cycle Billing and/or payment transactions

•Ensures timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of all payments; Oversight of lockbox receipt

•Monitors daily cash reconciliation reports of payments posted and ensures that all batches posted daily correspond to amounts deposited; assures that variances are corrected in a timely manner; works collaboratively with the finance and client billing teams

•Researches Revenue Cycle bottlenecks and recommends/implements corrective action plans

•Runs, reviews, interprets, analyzes, and validates Revenue Cycle reports

•Possesses the ability to run standard Revenue Cycle and operations reports to answer questions from department/practice managers, vendors, physicians, and other Revenue Cycle stakeholders

•Performs quality assurance audit.

•Oversee daily clearinghouse reports, unbilled claims- tracking, trending known issues, and implementing resolutions

•Research and resolve credit balances

•Process and monitor the electronic remittance files to ensure accuracy

•Maintain and/or enforce security procedures to ensure safety of funds

•May require other duties as assigned


What You'll Bring

•Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, finance, computer science or related field preferred or experience in lieu of degree

•Minimum 3 years Revenue Cycle experience

•Experience analyzing complex issues and/or requests to provide effective solutions with the ability to identify root cause, communicate options and propose solutions

•Knowledge of revenue cycle principles and practices, the ability to systematically interpret functional requirements into applications design

•Knowledge of patient accounting processes from scheduling through final account disposition

•Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

•Effectively utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

•Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

•Must be able to work independently in a manner to achieve goals, objectives and productivity requirements

•Strong background working in practice management system(s)

•Must demonstrate strong organizational and critical thinking skills

•Possesses excellent comprehension and retention skills

•Requires the ability to read and understand complex custom network or contract terms and the ability to communicate and/or resolve the deficiencies with both internal and external customers

•Strong ability to work cross functionally between departments to build relationships and analyze reports or data and presenting it in a way that is comprehensive to all relevant parties

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. 


For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0692 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
