The RCM Account Manager (AM) serves as the strategic partner and primary point of contact for assigned clients, with a core focus on account management, consultative support, and client success. The AM is responsible for proactively managing client relationships, understanding clinic operations, and advising revenue cycle strategies that drive performance improvement and operational efficiency. The AM must possess a deep knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM) and the key performance indicators (KPIs) that influence client outcomes. This role requires a consultative mindset, capable of analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending actionable solutions. The AM leads the Accounts Receivable (AR) team—including Billing Specialists and AR Specialists—to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution, while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and operational alignment.
This is a Full Time, remote, RCM Account Manager role.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary owner of the client and payer relationship, ensuring consistent communication, trust, and alignment.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clinic leadership, providing insights and recommendations to improve revenue cycle performance.
- Lead client onboarding and ongoing engagement, ensuring a seamless experience and clear expectations.
- Analyze client KPIs (e.g., days in A/R, first pass resolution rate, denial trends) and provide tailored recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews with clients, presenting data-driven insights and strategic action plans.
- Prepare and timely deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports to clients and convey trends, risks, and opportunities clearly and proactively.
- Identify root causes of revenue cycle inefficiencies and collaborate with clinics and internal teams to implement corrective measures.
- Direct the AR team’s daily activities, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of unpaid claims.
- Establish and maintain system parameters that support efficient claim submission and payment maximization.
- Utilize system tools to monitor at-risk accounts and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Resolve escalated client and patient concerns with urgency and professionalism.
- Champion client needs internally, advocating for enhancements to processes, systems, and service delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve the client experience and support the organization’s value proposition.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of RCM best practices, payer guidelines, and industry trends.
- Provide training and guidance to AR team members to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support client success and organizational goals.
What You'll Bring
- High School Graduate required, BS preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of previous experience in healthcare account management or revenue cycle operations.
- EPIC systems experience desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing including commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation, and patient responsibility is highly desirable.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
