About the role:
Seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data Product Management to lead, oversee the development, execution, and optimization of our data products. and coach a team of product managers in developing and delivering innovative solutions that provide our members with meaningful experiences that enhance operational efficiencies and drive business success. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define the product vision and strategy, and oversee the product lifecycle to ensure that solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable impact. As a leader, you will join a team transforming health care and health services for over 13M people nationwide. Our product team is constantly innovating and expanding into new verticals and capabilities as we build and maintain some of the best-in-class and innovative solutions in the healthcare market. Your role as a leader will involve balancing the needs of both technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensuring the smooth delivery of data-driven solutions with the outlined roadmaps backed by the strategy.
Essential Functions:
•Define and execute the vision and roadmap for data products that align with overall business objectives supporting Member engagement, Total cost of care, Provider Engagement, Utilization management, Growth and Feasibility analysis.
•Identify opportunities to leverage technology and process improvements to optimize operations.
•Execute on a product strategy through coaching others in outcomes driven decision making
•Work closely with engineering, data science, marketing, operations, and business teams to prioritize product features and deliverables.
•Understand stakeholder needs, translate them into clear data product requirements, and prioritize features based on business impact, feasibility, and ROI.
•Guide the development lifecycle of data products, from ideation to launch. Ensure timely delivery and maintain a focus on quality.
•Collaborate with technical teams to define the architecture for data products, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and high data quality.
•Leverage analytics to drive decisions and optimize product performance. Work with data scientists to ensure products deliver actionable insights.
•Advocate for user-centered design in the development of data products, ensuring ease of use and accessibility.
•Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data products, track progress, and refine strategies based on performance and feedback.
•Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics. Continuously propose innovative solutions to meet business needs.
•Conduct competitive analysis to ensure products are differentiated and deliver maximum value.
•Ensure all data products comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and industry best practices for data privacy, security, and quality.
•Lead, coach, and build a team of product managers/ Analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
•Establish clear goals, roles, and career growth paths for team members.
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or equivalent).
•10+ years in product management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
•At least 5 years of experience focused on data products, analytics, or data-driven applications or solutions.
•Proven track record of delivering technology solutions in healthcare or related industry.
•Proven track record of developing and coach a team of product managers/ analyst required.
•Proven experience in working with technical and non-technical teams and balancing competing priorities.
•Experience with agile methodologies is required.
•Experience with implementing data privacy regulation (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
•Experience in operations, process optimization, and driving operational efficiency through the application is preferred.
•Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
•Expertise in continuous product discovery and knowledge of software development practices.
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and use it to inform product decisions.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to a wide range of stakeholders in a consumable format
•Ability to think critically and creatively, identifying solutions to complex data challenges.
Preferred Experience:
•Advanced degree a plus.

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington and New York State compensation is $130,000 - $140,000 with eligible bonus opportunity.
