This role is part of the IT Clinical Applications team, reporting to the Director of IT Applications Optimization (ITAO), and is responsible for leading the planning, organization, and execution of Epic enhancements and optimizations. The Clinical Applications Program Manager serves as the owner of the Epic program, taking accountability for end-to-end program activities and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
The Clinical Applications Program Manager interfaces and collaborates with Enterprise Project Management Organization (EPMO), Implementations, Operations, Client Reporting/Business Intelligence, Growth, Product, Marketing, and Medical Leadership teams. This role is the central source of communication for Epic quarterly releases, upgrades, and the supporting processes that enable the ITAO release framework. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset, strong leadership, and accountability for results. The Program Manager is expected to anticipate challenges, take initiative, and drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure successful execution of Epic-related initiatives.
This is a Full Time, Remote, Clinical Applications Program Manager role.
What You'll Do
•Owns the Epic release management program, providing leadership and accountability for the execution of upgrades and enhancements.
•Leads end-to-end release activities including scheduling, planning, scope assessments, stakeholder communications, issue resolution, and go-live support.
•Takes accountability for ensuring release cycles are predictable, well-communicated, and consistently executed.
•Partners with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, drive adherence to timelines, and remove barriers.
•Anticipates risks, develops mitigation strategies, and ensures escalations are managed effectively.
•Serves as the primary liaison between IT Applications Optimization and third-party vendors, owning processes such as Epic third-party access approvals, contract renewals, vendor risk assessments, and training/proctoring requests.
•Establishes and maintains centralized communication plans and progress reporting to ensure executive and stakeholder visibility.
•Manages small projects and special initiatives, taking responsibility for successful delivery and alignment with broader organizational goals.
•Maintains program documentation, ensures adherence to policies, and drives process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability.
•Leads collaboration with Epic BFFs across the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication.
•Performs administrative and operational responsibilities for application teams, including ServiceNow demand/project management, SharePoint access, and invoice review.
•Drives continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize program practices, championing adoption of best practices, and implementing sustainable solutions.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
•7+ years of project / program management experience, 2+ years of which is in the healthcare industry a plus
•Proven track record of increasing responsibility of managing large, complex projects and activities
•Experience applying project management and/or Agile software development methodologies and practices (PMP, ACP, or Scrum Master Certification)
•Experience working cross-functionally, building relationships, and leading teams in a collaborative environment to achieve alignment and outcomes.
•Prior Epic Application experience a plus
•Prior ServiceNow experience a plus
•Occupational Health project management experience a plus
•Demonstrated ability to own and lead programs with accountability for outcomes, taking concepts from idea to completion and ensuring measurable results.
•Strong program management abilities, including the capacity to motivate, influence, and direct in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development, meeting facilitation, and the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels, senior leaders, business partners, and vendors.
•Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail.
•Complex problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and analytical skills to anticipate needs, address challenges, and drive solutions independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
•Proven ability to assess processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver actionable insights that guide organizational decision-making.
•Intermediate-level skill with MS Office Suite, MS Project, ServiceNow, video conferencing tools (Teams, etc.), and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $87,000.00 - $97,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
