Assistant Paramedic Supervisor

We’re seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Paramedic Supervisor to provide high-quality care to athletes, patrons, and client employees at live-event venues in Ozone Park, NY and Elmont, NY. This role combines hands-on paramedic duties with supervisory support in a fast-paced, outdoor, high-energy environment. You will administer life-support care to sick or injured individuals in the pre-hospital setting as authorized by a physician, assist the EMS Supervisor with logistics, equipment, and shift assignments, and support a dedicated medical team during large-scale public events. An on-site ambulance is available for emergency situations. This position is Thursday through Sunday and is structured to promote work-life balance while offering a unique, high-energy experience. The ideal candidate is a licensed paramedic who thrives in dynamic settings, excels under pressure, and is eager to apply their clinical skills in a one-of-a-kind environment.

 Must have Nassau County REMSCO certification upon hire. NYC REMAC to be obtained post hire if not already active.

What You'll Do

  • Typically oversees the supervision of a team of EMTs and/or paramedics within a health center by managing daily operations, workflow, work schedules, timecard monitoring etc. to ensure efficient and effective health center performance  
  • Manages a limited number of employees – responsible for following appropriate processes for talent acquisition, staff development and performance management and provides input to the Director of Clinical Operations for the final staffing decisions.  
  • Responsible for interviewing, training and onboarding new colleagues  
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and presents resolutions and recommendations to the Director of Clinical Operations  
  • Understands and complies with all regulatory, procedural, policy and licensing requirements  
  • Completes incident reports as needed and provides assistance to Medical Care and outcomes dept regarding investigations and the resolution of complaints  
  • Communicates and coordinates corporate messages and ensures implementation of policies or procedures is followed  
  • Manages internal budget, reviews expenses, purchases supplies, inventories equipment, medication etc.  
  • Assists in the identification and use of local per diems to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met  
  • Communicates regularly with staff, conducts meetings and shares information regularly  
  • May require other duties as assigned  

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program  
  • Current, unincumbered Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed  
  • Current ACLS certification  
  • NY Paramedics – based on city and county: Regional Emergency Medical Service Council (REMSCO), Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC), Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO) Certifications 
  • At least three years’ experience as an EMT-P in an ambulance/EMS service, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
  • Prior management experience preferred.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $30.40 - $38.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
