The Associate Vice President (AVP) of ERP Applications provides leadership for Premise Health’s Business Applications and Delivery (BAD) organization, overseeing the ERP Applications Support team. This role drives the development and execution of technology strategies that enable financial operational excellence, scalability, and innovation across the enterprise. The AVP partners with executive and functional leaders to align business objectives with IT capabilities, ensuring systems are efficient, compliant, and high-performing.
This is a Full Time, hybrid, Business Application Associate Vice President role located in Brentwood, TN.
What You'll Do
- Provides leadership in shaping and implementing IT plans and strategies for Financial and Accounting systems to support the mission and goals of Premise Health
- Brings strong leadership and a proactive perspective in identifying innovative organizational, procedural and technological opportunities that better position Premise Health for success
- Acts as a strategic partner to Finance & Accounting leadership, ensuring ERP solutions support evolving financial, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Supports merger and acquisition activities, including Finance and Accounting due diligence, risk assessment, integration planning, and post acquisition execution.
- Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regard to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations
- Partners with the broader IT organization, business leadership, Operations, the PMO, and other administrative functions to ensure business IT needs are met efficiently and effectively
- Leads strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies
- Will be a core project team member for planning and readiness for a future state ERP transformation, including platform evaluation, architectural direction, migration strategy, and change enablement.
- Ensures continuous delivery of technical and support services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems and programs performance.
- Ensures that area of responsibility maintains compliance with all contractual agreements and applicable regulatory bodies
- Collaborates in a fast-paced, creative environment to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and configurable solutions that align with privacy, security, and industry standards. Identifies opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce costs. Analyzes complex business needs and recommends effective solutions.
- Develops annual operating expense and capital budgets; monitors, tracks, and approves expenditures
- Establishes department quality objectives and benchmarks, and designs and implements effective tools to measure performance against these standards
- Provides leadership necessary to create and maintain a technical atmosphere that encourages proactive research, development, and problem-solving
- Champions the development and retention of top talent within IT by fostering career growth and skill building of the department employees
- Supervises the recruitment, development, retention, and organization of staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
- Manages outside relationships with third-party service providers and IT vendors
- Develops/contributes to IT business plans, staffing, budgeting and process decisions that support both the long- and short-term objectives of Premise Health
- Collaborates with departments and outside vendors to develop and maintain a business applications plan that supports organizational needs
- Helps define issues, extract and validate information to find solutions when alternatives, information, and objectives are ambiguous, deciding on the best uses of time and other scarce organizational resources
- Manages the Business Applications and Delivery (BAD) - ERP and BAD –
- Integration Development groups
- Organize and manage Financial Applications Steering Team (FAST) for ERP change management oversight
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum twelve (12+) years of progressive work experience, at least five (5) of which is in the healthcare industry
- Minimum of seven (7) years ERP experience, with concentration in Finance and Accounting
- Minimum five (5+) years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP with proven record of success
- Minimum five (5+) years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and related tools
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SmartConnect and other relevant tools to create integrations
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI preferred
- ERP consulting experience preferred
- Experience with implementation of ERP applicatioins
- Understanding of the healthcare industry
- Experience must include increasingly responsible experience in managing large, complex projects, teams, and activities with a minimum of five (5) years in a management position.
- Demonstrated advanced leadership abilities in evolving and complex environments
- Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills
- Ability to build trust, credibility, and consensus with constituents across the organization
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a culture of service excellence
- Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and regulations related to these processes
- Experience with integrations between business applications including Finance, Accounting and Payroll applications
- Ability to facilitate change effectively
- Superb written and communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of staff both internal and external to the organization
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is willing to take innovative risks while balancing the road map for on-time deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple diverse, simultaneous projects of various complexities with overlapping deadlines
- Prior experience with strategic planning
- Previous experience managing vendor relationships
- Demonstrated ability to build a diverse team in a complex and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to create and maintain a supportive working and learning environment for staff
- Consultative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively
